“A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.” – Sir Winston Churchill.

Call it fundamentalism or conservative or whatever you would call it, but in all honesty, it’s just plain fanaticism. To always plunge headlong into “defending” the dogmas that one believes in without leeway for any questioning by another or even oneself is nothing but pure fanaticism. To always assume that one’s on the “right path” and that God is on his side does nothing to the spread or protection of one’s faith. It is more of an abomination than anything else.

It is erroneous to assume that an infinitely superior God needs defending… even insulting to assume that. And it gets really downright sick when one can even degenerate to the use of force or intimidation to “force” one’s beliefs in a sort of “kill the body but save the soul” kind of really warped sense of superiority as if he/she is God’s vigilante on earth. For it is this sort of mindset that has caused countless genocides, witch hunts and murders that have claimed the lives of millions of people over the centuries.

For these lots, the ends indeed do justify the means. When all forms of humanity and decency is thrashed in the name of God. When breaking sacred covenants of human lives can be exchange for a sword and extermination of freewill, it is representative of the degeneration to fanaticism.

Fanaticism is nothing less than the unwillingness to think, to evaluate and to question all matters rationally. It is a deafening roar that believes itself to the point where “might makes right” take precedence over common sense.

The use of religious rights to trample on basic fundamental human rights is in itself an abomination no less severe than Lucifer’s superiority complex wanting to lord it over everyone else.

All said and done, if your belief in God cannot be questioned nor your faith available for scrutiny, just what kind of God do you have? Or is it even God that you believe in or a mere godless Luciferian fanaticism that you hold in the guise of godliness?
