Humanity for 3 cents

Is it just us or has society gone way overboard with its modern lifestyle of quite honestly, irrelevant? And it’s not just the “little things” like playing outdoors, scrapping knees and drinking tap water. Human life has become so cheap despite the lavish amounts of money one spends on oneself to maintain lifestyles that may be glitzy and all that, but in all frankness, empty.
The very essence that make us all humans – things like being neighbourly, courteous, tea with friends and the likes have today given way to selfish monetary pursuits that have little or almost no regard for human life.
It may be all well to place the likes of Hitler, Idi Amin and Mussolini on he pedestal of evil incarnate in world history, but honestly, today’s likes of some friends and families relegates these well-known villains to the minor leagues.
Thanks to the unabashed and all-consuming mantra of “money over everything”, humanity has indeed lost its humanity, one which it has readily exchanged for a mere 3 pieces of silver whilst even Judas settled for 30. This pandemic degradation of ourselves to measure our whole being in monetary worth only compounds this problem.
It’s our mindless pursuit of pure greed and money that has today turned this once bountiful earth to be scarred and hundreds of millions of our fellow human beings to starvation, skies once blue and clear to be overcast with pollution so thick as to warrant masks and oxygen tanks, human lives preserved to live longer but sicker as bigwigs jockey to make even more money (more than one can even use in a thousand lifecycles) by raising already exorbitant prices, all the while viciously silencing affordable and readily available medicine that can cure.
Honestly, when one looks at it, it is all truly sickening and makes Satan looks like an angel compared. Somehow, there is none more sinister nor more evil than man himself.
And unless he reverses his ideals, his mindset and reach down and pick up whatever little there is left of his humanity, man himself becomes THE DEVIL, one that would even make the devil himself cringe at the very magnitude of the atrocities that this mortal man is capable of inflicting.
It truly is a sad affair when so called “made in the image of God” has now dwindled to become nothing less than the devil exponential-fied.
